    Abstract: A turbine damper may be provided that may include an elongated body sized to fit inside a turbine blade, the elongated body elongated along a radial direction of the turbine blade relative to a rotation axis of the turbine blade, and plural dampening masses coupled with the elongated body and disposed at different locations along the radial direction.     Abstract: The present invention discloses a transmitting and receiving device for an ultrasonic system, which comprises a transmitter, a receiver and at least two switch circuits connected in series. The transmitter is coupled to an ultrasonic transducer and generates high voltage signals to the ultrasonic transducer during a transmitting mode. The receiver is coupled to the ultrasonic transducer via the at least two switch circuits and receives low voltage signals from the ultrasonic transducer during a receiving mode. The at least two switch circuits are configured to share voltage drop of the high voltage signals to isolate the high voltage signals during the transmitting mode and allow the low voltage signals to pass through during the receiving mode. It also discloses an ultrasonic system having the transmitting and receiving device.

    Abstract: A synchronization system based on wireless or limited cable interconnection is disclosed, which includes a central unit comprising a delay compensation module, and RF transmission channels. At least one channel comprises a clock controller and a synchronization controller. The central unit transmits a controlled clock signal and a controlled synchronization signal to the at least one channel, and receives a clock echo signal and a synchronization echo signal. The delay compensation module estimates a clock phase compensation based on the controlled clock signal transmitted and the clock echo signal received, and a synchronization delay compensation based on the controlled synchronization signal transmitted and the synchronization echo signal received. The clock controller and the synchronization controller adjusts respectively a clock signal and a synchronization signal received from the at least one channel based on the clock phase compensation and the synchronization delay compensation. MR systems and a synchronization method are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A rotor blade assembly includes a first rotor blade and a second rotor blade positioned adjacent to one another. The first rotor blade and the second rotor blade each include a platform and an airfoil extending radially outward from a root coupled to the platform to a tip. The airfoil includes a part-span shroud. The part-span shroud extends from the airfoil and is disposed between the root and the tip. The part-span shroud includes a pressure side portion extending from the pressure side surface and a suction side portion extending from the suction side surface. A damper is in contact with both the part span shroud of the first rotor blade and the part span shroud of the second rotor blade at an interference joint. The damper is movable relative to the part span shroud of both the first rotor blade and the second rotor blade.

    Abstract: The present embodiments set forth a blade including an airfoil, the airfoil including a tip cap, a pressure sidewall and a suction sidewall extending axially between corresponding leading and trailing edges and radially between the base and the tip cap. The blade, including the airfoil and base, being formed in at least two airfoil parts, each of the two airfoil parts including contacting edges engaging each other respective contacting edges, the contacting edges defining a joint for preloading each of the at least two parts with each other and with the base. The at least two airfoil parts forming the airfoil being retained to each other by an interference fit at the joint. The interference fit providing frictional damping of vibrations in the blade during blade operation.
