摘要： An analog-digital converter has an input for an analog waveform and a reference voltage generator connected to a device for modifying the output of the generator in selected amplitude steps. A variable gain amplifier is arranged to receive both the analogue input and the modified reference voltage and is connected to a device for producing at repeated instants a digital signal corresponding to the difference between the instantaneous analog input and the modified reference voltage, and a further signal to the modifying device, should the difference be outside a predetermined range. The modifying device is responsive to the further signal to alter the reference voltage fed to the amplifier such that the difference is maintained within the predetermined range.
