Abstract: Radiant heating systems for warming an occupant of an enclosed space. The system includes a component with a surface that faces the occupant. The surface defines an A-surface quality meaning the surface is visible and is designed with styling objectives to have an aesthetic appearance. Conductive strands are exposed at the surface and a power supply supplies electric power to the conductive strands. A controller controls the electric power supplied to the conductive strands.

Abstract: Seat assemblies for motor vehicles and methods for fabricating such seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly for a motor vehicle includes a seat frame and a seat back panel that is coupled to the seat frame. The seat back panel has a frangible tear seam that defines an integrated airbag door. An airbag is disposed between the seat frame and the seat back panel adjacent to the integrated airbag door. The airbag inflates during deployment. The integrated airbag door is configured to open during deployment to allow the airbag to inflate outside of the seat back panel.

Abstract: A vehicle seat wiring harness system includes a vehicle seat having a wiring bundle connected to at least an electrical motor energized to displace the vehicle seat and a first fixed point. A wire harness chain is positioned between the first fixed point and a second fixed point connected to a vehicle floor member. The wire harness chain includes multiple links individually including a first connecting wall oppositely positioned with respect to a second connecting wall. A longitudinal cavity is defined between the first connecting wall and the second connecting wall of successive ones of the multiple links. Multiple wires are loosely routed through the longitudinal cavity of the wire harness chain and connected to the wiring bundle.

An airbag module: includes an airbag and a deployment device that deploys the airbag; and is mounted to a second rotatable plate mounted to a roof of the vehicle above the seat. An electric motor is configured to rotate the second rotatable plate. A restraint control module is configured to, based on a rotational position of the first rotatable plate, apply power to the electric motor and rotate the second rotatable plate.
