Abstract: A battery assembly includes a battery pan and battery cells. The battery cells are supported within the battery pan and disposed in a plurality of rows. The battery assembly includes a plurality of vents, and each of the plurality of vents is defined by a floor of the battery pan, support members, and a battery tray. Each vent extends a length of each row. An endcap is coupled to the structural plates of the battery pan. The endcap includes a plurality of apertures, a baffle, and a vent channel. The baffle has a baffle wall disposed opposite the plurality of apertures. The baffle wall extends to the ceiling and the floor of the elongated body. The vent channel extends along the baffle and is configured to carry vent gas. The battery assembly also includes a pack vent configured to exhaust the vent gas from the endcap.

Abstract: An automobile vehicle overhead camshaft system includes multiple camshafts individually having multiple sliding camshaft barrels. Opposed ends of the camshaft barrels individually have a zero-lift lobe. Multiple intake valves are operated by a first one of the camshafts and multiple exhaust valves are operated by a second one of the camshafts. Multiple actuators operate during a deceleration cylinder cut-off (DCCO) mode to slidably displace the camshaft barrels to position the zero-lift lobe of predetermined ones of the multiple sliding camshaft barrels into contact with at least one of: all of the intake valves; or all of the exhaust valves.

Abstract: An intake manifold of an automobile vehicle includes a manifold body connected to a cylinder head. A runner is in communication with the cylinder head. A plenum is in communication with the runner. An inner dividing wall is positioned between and partially separates the runner and the plenum while allowing communication between the plenum and the runner over a dividing wall end of the inner dividing wall. An orifice opening extends through the inner dividing wall providing a drain path from the plenum to the runner. The orifice drains a fluid collecting in the plenum to the runner.
