    Abstract: A reel has a spool member on which the linear material is spooled, an electric motor that rotates the spool member, and a controller that controls the operation of the motor. The controller monitors an unwound length of the linear material based on sensed rotation of the spool member by one or more sensors. The controller causes the motor to wind the linear material at a drag speed when the linear material is on a ground, at a crawl speed lower than the drag speed when the length of linear material on the ground is shorter than a first threshold amount and through a second predetermined amount once the linear material lifts off the ground to inhibit swing of the linear material as it comes off the ground, and at a docking speed greater than the crawl speed when the unwound linear material is shorter than the second threshold amount.

    Abstract: An electrical cord can include a cord segment with a receptacle. The receptacle can have a surface and apertures that accept a plug to form an electrical connection between the plug and wires of the electrical cord. A wear ring can be on the receptacle. The wear ring can be at least as large as the receptacle in a transverse cross-section. The wear ring can inhibit or prevent at least a portion of the surface from contacting a ground surface when the receptacle is on the ground surface or is dragged along the ground surface.

    Abstract: An electrical cord reel assembly can include a spool configured to wind and unwind an electrical cord therefrom. The electrical cord reel assembly can include a motor configured to rotate the spool to wind and unwind the electrical cord about the spool. The electrical cord reel assembly can include a controller in electrical communication with the motor and the electrical cord. The controller can be configured to, in response to an unwind command, place or maintain the electrical cord in a power off state. The controller can be configured to in response to the unwind command, transmit an unwind signal to the motor to cause the motor to unwind the electrical cord from the spool. The controller can be configured to automatically place the electrical cord in a power on state based at least in part on an amount of rotation of the spool during the unwinding.

    Abstract: A reel has a spool member on which the linear material is spooled, an electric motor that rotates the spool member, and a controller that controls the operation of the motor.     Abstract: A reel assembly includes a rotatable member that rotates about a first axis to wind and unwind a hose from the rotatable member, where the rotatable member also rotates about a second axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first axis. A housing substantially encloses the rotatable member and has a first aperture that receives the hose therethrough and a second aperture spaced apart from the first aperture. A conduit assembly is at least partially disposed within the housing and extends between a first end and a second end, the first end being releasably and operatively coupleable with a liquid source, the first end being accessible through the second aperture and positioned substantially along the second axis. The second end is in fluid communication with a connector on the rotatable member that releasably couples to the hose. The conduit assembly also has a flow control valve coupled to a conduit portion of the conduit assembly and configured to selectively allow fluid flow through the conduit assembly from the liquid source to the connector. The conduit assembly and the rotatable member can move together about the second axis relative to at least a portion of the housing during operation of the rotatable member.

    Abstract: An electrical cord can include a cord segment with an electrical connector. The connector can connect to a spool member of an electrical cord reel to form an electrical connection between the electrical cord and the electrical cord reel. The spool can have a recess that engages and/or mates with the connector. When the connector is in the recess, at least a portion of the connector can be flush with a cylinder surface of the spool. The connector can be secured in the recess with one or more fasteners (e.g., screws). The connector and recess can have members that act as the primary load bearing members when spooling and unspooling the electrical cord to inhibit the application of loads on the electrical connection during rotation of the spool member.
