摘要: The present invention relates generally to a method of diagnosing, predicting or monitoring the development or progress of advanced cancer and, in particular, to a method of diagnosing, predicting or monitoring the development of or progress of advanced prostate cancer in a mammal. The present invention contemplates a method for detecting advanced cancer, or predisposition to thereof, by screening for an increase in the level of inhibin expression in a mammal. The present invention further provides a method for diagnosing or monitoring conditions associated with or characterized by the onset of advanced cancer. Also provided are diagnostic agents useful for detecting inhibin or subunit thereof.

摘要: The present invention relates to a novel cancer therapy, particularly, but not exclusively, to a prostate, bladder and breast cancer therapy and to Compositions and medicaments for use in said therapy. In one aspect there is provided a method of treating a patient afflicted with cancer comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a nuclear receptor ligand and an HDAC (histone deacetylases) inhibitor wherein said nuclear receptor ligand is not a ligand for the vitamin D receptor.
