摘要: A paint removal device includes a post member having two ends, a lever member having two ends, a joint connecting an end of the post member to the lever member at a point therealong spaced from the ends of the lever member, and a scraper blade provided on the lever member at one end thereof. The joint permits pivoting of the second elongate member about at least two distinct axes. In using the scraper device for removing paint from a surface facing at least partially downwardly, a lower end of the post member is planted on a ground or floor surface below the painted surface. The user pivots the lever member at the joint to place the scraper blade in contact with the painted surface. Thereafter, the user pulls on the lever member to pivot the post member and the lever member about an axis passing through the lower end of the post member. While pulling on the lever member, the user maintains the scraper blade in forceful contact with the painted surface, to thereby scrape paint from the painted surface.

摘要: A programmable sprinkler system ideally suited for use in an enclosure such as a nursery and/or arboretum includes a first overhead rail and a water pipe connected to a pressurized source of water. The water pipe is provided with a plurality of water valves placed at discreet intervals along its length and extend outwardly therefrom and is positioned alongside and close to the first overhead rail and parallel thereto. A source of electrical power is positioned close to and generally parallel with the first rail on the other side thereof and extends essentially its entire length. A plurality of second overhead rails have one end of each positioned near the valves and the first rail and extends outwardly therefrom, preferably at right angles thereto, defining a path along which the water is to be dispensed. A carrier mechanism rests on the first rail. Nested upon the carrier mechanism is a detachable car that includes a second coupling device to bring electrical power to it. The car also includes a plurality of water dispensing heads, a mating coupling for the valves on the water pipe, and a hose for carrying the water from the valve along the full length of the second rail in order to dispense water along the path provided by the second rail. Reflective devices together with a light source provide an electrical signal which controls the amount of water to be dispensed and the speed that the car and carrier are to move along the first and second rails, respectively. These signals are coupled to the programmable computer which is located in the detachable car.

摘要: An apparatus for placing tags into communication with a container. The apparatus includes a frame having a ground engaging end and an upright free end extending from the ground engaging end and at least one tagging head attached to the upright free end. The tagging head further includes a picker arm assembly configured for reciprocal movement between a first tag picking position and a second tag placement position. A cylinder is provided to position the picker arm in either of the first or second positions as the picker arm reciprocates within a J-shaped channel of a cam plate. The apparatus further includes at least one tag reservoir supported by the upright free end of the frame wherein the at least one tag reservoir is configured to hold a tag in substantially the first tag picking position enabling the placement arm assembly to contact and take possession of the tag during use.

摘要: A water sprinkling system for greenhouse comprises two horizontal rails and a carriage movably mounted to the rails. A fluid outlet disposed at a substantially midway point along the rails is connected to the carriage by a fluid transfer hose for guiding fluid to the carriage from the fluid outlet. The hose has a first end portion extending from the fluid outlet along the first rail, a second end portion extending to the carriage along the second rail, and a middle portion connecting the end portions to one another. Support elements, preferably in the form of hook members, are spaced from one another along the first rail for supporting the first end portion of the hose, while a plurality of roller members are spaced from one another along the second rail for rollably supporting the second end portion of the hose. A hosecar is movably mounted to the rails for carrying the middle portion of the hose. A cable provided for maintaining tension on the hose is operatively connected to the hosecar to exert thereon a force directed along the path of the rails and essentially directly opposed to a force exerted on the hosecar by the hose. Deflectors, preferably in the form of rollers, are provided on the hosecar for deflecting the hose from a first orientation occupied by the first end portion of the hose to a second orientation occupied by the middle portion of the hose and for bending the hose from one rail towards the other, so that the middle portion of the hose is disposed substantially perpendicularly to the first end portion and the second end portion.
