摘要: A method and system for reducing the time it takes for a trader to place a trade when electronically trading on an exchange, thus increasing the likelihood that the trader will have orders filled at desirable prices and quantities. The “Mercury” display and trading method of the present invention ensure fast and accurate execution of trades by displaying market depth on a vertical or horizontal plane, which fluctuates logically up or down, left or right across the plane as the market prices fluctuate. This allows the trader to trade quickly and efficiently. The price consolidation feature of the present invention, as described herein, enables a trader to consolidate a number of prices in order to condense the display. Such action allows a trader to view a greater range of prices and a greater number of orders in the market at any given time. By consolidating prices, and therefore orders, a trader reduces the risk of a favorable order scrolling from the screen prior to filling a bid or ask on that order at a favorable price.

摘要: Heavier than air balloons with optical fiber decorative light arrays, which include a balloon attached to a hollow tube, or stick, which has one or more lengths of optical fibers inside or outside, with the balloon having an optional skirt, the optical fibers are adjacent to or integral with the skirt, which optical fibers each have a protective jacket or cladding to prevent light from escaping therefrom, with portions of the jacket or cladding removed at selected locations along their lengths to permit light patterns to be emitted therefrom, to form a decorative array, upon shining of a light into their ends.

摘要: An apparatus integrating a zoetrope including a panel made of a transparent material and strips made of an opaque material that attach to the panel at equal distance from one another. The strips include a series of graduated images at the inner side of the panel. The series of images differ slightly and progressively from one to the next. The transparent panel and the strips present a zoetrope in which the transparent panel acts as slits allowing a user to view the images on the strips at the inner side of the panel, and the strips act as a series of segments obscuring the view of the inner side of the panel. The user rotates the panel at an appropriate speed to view the images alternatively through the transparent panel and obscure the images by the strips in rapid succession creating the perception of an animation of the images.

摘要: An automated trader facilitates automatic trading of tradeable objects over one or more electronic exchanges. According to one embodiment, an automated trader utilizes a user programmable interface. The user programmable interface allows the user to simply develop a program that is based on a set of specifications and relationships given by the user and input into a profile, or if desired, input directly into the programmable interface referred to as direct entry. For each tradeable object, a profile may be selected, and then an automated trader can execute the program to perform a series of actions according to that selected profile and directed order entry, if any. An automated trader may also be used at a communication level to create an intelligent interface between third-party trading-related applications and exchanges.
