Abstract: A system includes an absorber having a vessel with a solvent inlet, a solvent outlet, a gas inlet, a gas outlet, and an interior volume configured to mix a gas and a solvent, wherein the absorber is configured to absorb an undesirable gas from the gas into the solvent. The system also includes at least one heat pipe coupled to the vessel, wherein the at least one heat pipe is configured to transfer heat away from at least one position along the absorber.
