摘要： A combined rail clip and anchorage for holding down a flanged track rail has a resilient clip of U-shaped or cranked form, the end of one arm of which will bear down on the rail flange and the other arm will be received in a passageway in the anchorage. A stepped tip to the one arm will lock behind the end of the passageway when the clip is pressed fully home.In one arrangement both arms are directed towards the rail flange and received within the anchorage, whereas in another arrangement the one arm of the clip lies over the flange, and the other being held in the anchorage passageway to lie alongside the longitudinally extending rail flange.

摘要： The invention is concerned with damp-proof courses which can be used at the end of a cavity wall of a building structure adjacent to a door or window frame. The invention provides a damp-proof course, which has a high degree of versatility in use. The damp-proof course in accordance with the invention comprises a strip of corrosion-resistant moisture impermeable material (and is preferably formed as a plastics extrusion) and its cross-section provides two web-like elements arranged at an acute angle in the range 45.degree. to 90.degree. with respect to each other the first web having at least one undercut formation on the inside of the angle and the second web having at least one undercut formation on the outside, each of the undercut formations providing anchorage for wall ties at any position along the length of the strip, and at least one of the webs also has a moisture barrier formation on its inside extending throughout the length of the strip.

摘要： The invention provides a structural assembly for use in a building comprising a sub-frame structural element and a metal window frame element; said sub-frame element itself comprising a strip of corrosion-resistant liquid-impermeable material (e.g. unplasticised polyvinylchloride) of substantially constant cross-section throughout its length, said cross-section providing a substantially rectangular overall shape, providing the strip with two side faces and two edge faces, at least two parallel longitudinally extending grooves in one side face of said strip; and intermediate "land" on said one side face between each adjacent pair of said at least two grooves; two outer "lands" located respectively between each laterally outer groove of said at least two grooves and the adjacent edge face of said strip, said two outer "lands" being of unequal width; said window frame element having a longitudinally extending web, and said sub-frame element and said window frame element being secured to each other with the web supported by at least one of said "lands", there being at least one of said grooves located under said web.The groove or grooves located under the web of the window frame element provides a moisture barrier and any groove on the inside of the said web provides a condensation trough. In a preferred form, the sub-frame element is also grooved on the opposite side, and means are provided for securing the sub-frame element to the wall.

摘要： The invention provides a structural assembly for use in a building comprising an elongate structural element for use in a frame (such as a window or door frame) in an opening in the wall of the building, said structural element providing an effective pocket open along one side thereof, and a sill which comprises an elongate plate-like element formed along its inner edge with an arcuate surface as seen in transverse section, whereby said sill is adapted for rocking motion about its inner edge, said inner edge of said sill being received within said pocket and said plate-like element extending laterally from said elongate structural element.The invention also provides a sill for use in the structural assembly, wherein the inner edge of the sill is formed into a part cylindrical scroll, and wherein the outer edge is formed with a drip bead which as seen in transverse section has an arcuate surface facing inwardly, for engagement with the outer face of a wall of the building adjacent to an opening in which the sill is used.

摘要： A track rail anchorage comprises a base member having projection flanges projecting from the two ends thereof, either of which may be placed so as to locate over the flange of a rail to be located in position. The base is provided with asymmetrical mounting means so that when one projection flange in location with the rail flange is exchanged for the other, the position of the new projection flange relative to the rail will be displaced towards or away from the rail, thus catering for possible displacements of parts of the rail due to distortion defects. Additional adjustment of the anchorage position may be achieved by employing a variable, eccentric, mounting in the base to receive a mounting bolt fixed in the ground.
