摘要： The device is a wave generation system for bodies of water such as pools. At the deep end of the pool there is a set of air tight caissons. These caissons have an open bottom and allow the water of the pool to flow within. Pressurized air from a high pressure blower is introduced into these caissons via a duct. The duct, which passes through the caissons, is perforated on its top to allow the pressurized air from the blower to distribute itself evenly over the surface of the water. The air fills the caisson forcing the water out the open bottom of the caisson and into the pool causing the wave. These waves can be used as in a normal wave pool or used to power a river type ride.

摘要： A pneumatic/hydraulic wave generator is associated with the deep end of a swimming pool and includes a pneumatic system with a pair of inner caissons and a pair of outer caissons. The caissons communicate with the swimming pool through a submerged passage. A pneumatic system includes a motor-driven fan which communicates selectively with duct lines to the caissons through a pair of two-position air directional valve assemblies. When the caissons are actuated with pressurized air from the fan, the water levels therein are driven down, creating waves in the swimming pool.

摘要： A pneumatic/hydraulic wave generator for a swimming pool includes a plurality of caissons communicating with the deep end of the pool through a submerged passage. A pneumatic system includes a motor-driven impeller fan housed horizontally within a manifold housing and communicating with duct lines to the caissons through pneumatic valve assemblies. Each valve assembly includes a pendulum sleeve having a butterfly valve mounted therein that is actuated by swinging movement of the sleeve between an open and a closed position. Disposed within an upper air chamber portion of each caisson below an associate caisson valve assembly is a dispersion grate for evenly distributing air from the valve assembly across the upper surface of water disposed within the caisson.

摘要： An air distribution valve comprises a gimbal mounted flow directing nozzle connected to a feed conduit and selectively and pivotally advanceable about at least two intersecting and perpendicular axes into alignment with one of four outlet openings in a base plate each opening to an outlet conduit. The gimbal includes an outer gimbal ring supported in horizontal alignment above the base plate and an inner gimbal ring pivotally mounted to and inside the outer gimbal ring and rotatable about a first axis. The flow directing nozzle is pivotally mounted on mounting arms pivotally connected to the inner gimbal ring and pivotal about a second axis which intersects and extends perpendicular to the first axis. When used in a wave generating system, each outlet conduit communicates with one of four caissons at one end of the wave pool for selectively delivering pressurized air to the caisson from a centrifugal fan to force water out of the caissons in a selected order to create a desired wave pattern.
