摘要:
The invention provides a method and apparatus for controlling gas circulation in a fuel cell system in which a stack of fuel cells is surrounded by a protective housing. According to the invention, used cathode gas and burnt combustion gas from the fuel cell stack directly into the interior of a protective housing which surrounds the fuel cell stack. A blower which is arranged inside the housing causes the used cathode gas to mix with the burnt combustion gas and recirculate to the cathode input of the fuel cell stack, where it is further with fresh gas from the exterior.

The invention provides a fuel cell system with stacked fuel cells arranged in a fuel cell block, with an inlet for fresh combustion gas at the anodes on one side of fuel cell block and an outlet for the used combustion gas on the opposite side, as well as inlet for fresh cathode gas at the cathodes on another side of fuel cell block and an outlet for used cathode gas on the opposite side. A reforming device, which utilizes heat given off in the fuel cell reaction to reform the fresh combustion gas fed to the anode inlet of fuel cells, has an area provided with a catalyst. An inlet to the catalyst area receives fresh combustion gas to be reformed, which passes through the area containing the catalyst, in which the reforming process takes place, and exits through an outlet. The reforming device is designed as a heat exchanger located in the exhaust gas stream directly behind the fuel cell block. Exhaust gas from the fuel cells is guided through the heat exchanger as a heating gas for heating the reforming device.

A gas distributor device for a fuel cell arrangement is provided. The device has a number of fuel cells with a gas distributor combined to form a fuel cell stack. The stack features a inner side and an outer side, a supporting structure or supporting device and a sealing device. The sealing device is on the inner side of the gas distributor and the supporting device is on the outer side of the gas distributor. An elastic element is between the outer side of the gas distributor and the supporting device. The elastic element executes a horizontal force to the supporting device in the direction of the sealing device, as well as corresponding fuel cell arrangement.

A fuel cell assembly has fuel cells, each containing an anode and a cathode. A fresh-air feed is used for feeding fresh air to the cathode input. Between the anode output and the cathode input, by way of an anode waste gas return pipe, a burner device is provided for afterburning of combustible residual constituents contained in the spent fuel gas leaving the anode output, optionally together with fresh air fed by way of the fresh-air feed. The fresh-air feed contains a first fresh-air feed pipe connected to the burner device, for optional feeding of fresh air together with the spent fuel gas to the burner device, as well as a second fresh-air feed pipe for feeding fresh air to the cathode input while bypassing the burner device. The amount of the fresh air fed to the burner device by way of the first fresh-air feed pipe is preferably adjusted such that a temperature of between 750° C. and 1,400° C., preferably between 850° C. and 1,250° C., occurs in the burner device.
