摘要: A fuel cell system quickly and efficiently preheats a frozen stack. The fuel cell system includes: a reformer which generates a reformate gas by reforming a fuel and is heated by a heat source unit; a stack which generates electricity by electrochemically reacting an oxidizer with hydrogen in the reformate gas; and a fluid flow controller which moves air around the reformer into an area around the stack, and which controls airflow on the basis of a temperature change of the stack, wherein the air is heated by the surface temperature of the reformer.

摘要: A fuel cell system including: a reformer to convert a fuel into hydrogen; a reformer chamber to contain air heated by the reformer; a fuel cell stack to convert the hydrogen into electricity; a first pump to supply an oxidant to the stack; and a second pump to supply the heated air to the stack, to preheat the stack. The system may also include a controller to control the operation of the system, such that the heated air is not supplied until it reaches a predetermined temperature, and the oxidant is not supplied and the stack is not operated, until the stack reaches a predetermined temperature.

摘要: Disclosed are a fuel cell system, and a method of driving the system. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack having a plurality of unit cells producing electricity, a switching unit connecting the plurality of unit cells to a discharge resistor, a switching controller synchronously operated when the voltage of the fuel cell stack reaches an open circuit voltage after power generation of the fuel cell stack is stopped. The switching controller generates select control signals to control the switching unit. The fuel cell system further includes a sensing unit measuring respective cell voltages of the plurality of unit cells and generating cell voltage sensing signals to control activation periods of the select control signals.

摘要: A fuel cell system and a method for driving a fuel cell system are disclosed. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack with a plurality of unit cells, a temperature measurer configured for determining a temperature of the fuel cell stack, a cell voltage measurer configured for determining voltages of one or more of the plurality of unit cells, and a control unit configured for monitoring the unit cell voltages of the plurality of unit cells to detect a minimum unit cell voltage when a measured temperature of the fuel cell stack is below zero, and configured for controlling the load current so that the detected minimum unit cell voltage may be maintained at a predetermined threshold voltage.

摘要: A fuel cell stack includes: a plurality of membrane-electrode assemblies; first and second end plates respectively positioned outside outermost ones of the membrane-electrode assemblies; and a plurality of separators respectively positioned between the membrane-electrode assemblies and between the outermost ones of the membrane-electrode assemblies and the first and second end plates. The first end plate includes an oxidizing agent inlet, an oxidizing agent outlet, and a moisture supplying flow path connecting the oxidizing agent inlet and the oxidizing agent outlet. The moisture supplying flow path includes a first end portion adjacent to the oxidizing agent outlet and a second end portion adjacent to the oxidizing agent inlet, the first end portion being larger than the second end portion and being a different distance away from a surface of the first end plate facing away from the second end plate than the second end portion.

摘要: A carbon monoxide treatment apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a reactor body; a partitioning plate located inside the reactor body for partitioning an internal space of the reactor body into a first section and a second section; a channel member in the first section for transporting an introduced gas including a reformed gas and an oxidant gas to the second section; and a reaction unit around the channel member of the first section for reducing a concentration level of carbon monoxide in the introduced gas moving through the first section by utilizing a preferential oxidation reaction of the carbon monoxide and the oxidant gas of the introduced gas, wherein moisture of the introduced gas that has been partially condensed when passing through the channel member is stored in the second section.
