    摘要: An extended flexible polyurethane inner hose defines a fuel supply passage and is surrounded by an unbonded braided nylon reinforcement filament. The inner hose extends within a molded polyurethane and flexible corrugated outer hose which defines an annular fuel vapor return passage around the inner hose. Corresponding end portions of the hoses are connected to a fuel dispensing nozzle by a tubular metal inner coupling member, a tubular nylon outer coupling member, and a nylon nut. A small flexible fuel evacuation tube extends within the lower portion of the vapor return passage adjacent the inner hose, and an annular rotary coupling or union member and ring seals are confined between the inner and outer coupling members to define a fuel evacuation passage which connects the evacuation tube to a corresponding tube within the dispensing nozzle. The opposite end portions of the inner and outer hoses are connected by corresponding tubular coupling members to a fuel dispensing pump, and a support yoke, clamping ring and nut cooperate to prevent rotation of the hoses after they are connected to the dispensing pump. The nylon outer coupling members and nuts are carbon filled to be electrically conductive and are connected by a static wire helically wound around the inner hose.

    摘要: A fuel storage and dispensing system is provided that is effective in reducing the emission of harmful volatile organic compounds. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a fuel storage and dispensing system is provided comprising at least one storage tank, an air exhaust port, at least one fuel dispenser, a fuel dispensing nozzle, a rigid, fuel dispensing spout, a boot, a pressure relief chamber, a filter system, and at least one pump. The rigid, fuel dispensing spout further defines a non-coaxial fuel tube. The boot is configured to maintain a sufficient level of vacuum within the fuel storage and dispensing system. The boot is further configured to prevent fresh air from entering the fuel dispensing nozzle. The present invention also includes additional embodiments including a pressure relief chamber that is effective in compensating for high temperature pressure build-up in a vapor assist hose, a fuel dispensing nozzle and spout assembly, a vapor recovery boot assembly, and a Venturi shut-off assembly for a fuel dispensing nozzle and spout.

At least a portion of the fuel vapor duct forms a permeable partition designed to pass a non-pollutant component of fluid within the fuel vapor duct through the permeable partition and designed to inhibit passage of a pollutant component of fluid within the fuel vapor duct through the partition. The secondary filter output port is partitioned from the fuel vapor duct by the air-permeable partition and is coupled to the exhaust port. The primary pump is positioned to cause fluid to pass from the filter input port to the primary filter output port. The secondary pump is positioned to cause the non-pollutant component within the fuel vapor duct to pass through the permeable partition to the secondary filter output port and the exhaust port.
