摘要： The disclosure herein provides a smart golf pin system and golf GPS device with a mechanism to automatically receive golf hole cup information and display the golf hole information on the golf GPS device. More specifically, the golf GPS device receives data from a plurality of GPS modules installed on the golf pins located throughout the golf course and based on its current location, selects a set of GPS coordinates corresponding to the current hole that the golfer is playing, and displays a distance from the golf GPS device to the actual hole cup location in the current hole, thereby allowing the golfer to fine tune his or her approach accordingly.
