摘要: A virtual reality (VR) system comprising a head-mounted display (HMD) and handheld controller set is enhanced to provide a more realistic end user VR experience. According to this disclosure, a chroma-keyed trainer is embedded in the VR environment for use in workouts. This creates the illusion that the trainer is with the user in the virtual room. To create this effect, the trainer is filmed using a chroma key setup (e.g., a green screen background) and with standard cameras. The video is used in the headset with the keyed color (green) removed. As the training video is rendered, a set of virtual reality (VR) events that have been synchronized to movements of the trainer in the training video are output to the user so that the trainer actively participates in the workout with the user.

摘要: Electronic tracking systems are disclosed for assisting users with locating objects in a sporting environment. One such system includes a ball tracking component that tracks a game ball while moving in the sporting environment, and a heads up display that is worn by the user. This heads up display has an electronic display screen with a transparent display area that dynamically displays images within the user's field of view. A processor, which communicates with the ball tracking component and heads up display, is programmed to detect movement of the game ball, and responsively determine launch characteristics and/or flight characteristics of the moving game ball. The heads up display displays the launch/flight characteristics contemporaneous with an object indication adjacent to or superimposed over the moving game ball as the game ball is visible through the transparent display area of the display screen within the user's field of view.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of assessing an upper extremity that assesses an upper extremity exercise ability of a user by providing rehabilitation content to the user who is wearing a virtual reality (VR)/augmented reality (AR)-based visual device. The method provides the rehabilitation content including four types of exercise assessment methods according to various rehabilitation scenarios through the VR/AR-based visual device the user wears and simultaneously assesses the upper extremity exercise ability of the user and a rehabilitation therapy state by recognizing a position and a shape of a hand of the user moving while the user is wearing the VR/AR-based visual device according to the provided rehabilitation content.

摘要: A hybrid display system for a force measurement assembly, an exercise device, or an interactive game is disclosed herein. The hybrid display system includes a head-mounted visual display device having an output screen; at least one camera or a substantially transparent lens for enabling a system user to see one or more images of a real-world environment outside of the head-mounted visual display device; and a data processing device configured to generate a virtual reality environment and display the virtual reality environment on the output screen of the head-mounted visual display device, and the one or more images of the real-world environment being visible through the substantially transparent lens or the data processing device further configured to project at least a portion of the one or more images of the real-world environment captured by the at least one camera into the display of the virtual reality environment.

摘要: Virtual and augmented reality sports training environments are disclosed. A user interacts with virtual players in a simulated environment of a virtual reality sporting event. In some embodiments, the user's actions and decisions are monitored by the simulated environment. The environment evaluates the user's performance, and provides performance feedback based on the user's decisions and timing. In one application, real life pitchers and their pitching data are tracked and replicated in a simulated pitching environment. A team of users may practice against a simulation of a pitcher they are about to compete against, swinging at pitches that they would see in a real game. Such environments may maximize effective practice time for users, and help develop better players with improved decision-making skills. Some embodiments include various pitch recognition training, which may be against replicated real-life pitchers.

摘要: A method can include determining, by a head-mounted device based on first data received from a depth-sensing device included in the head-mounted device, that a first distance of the head-mounted device from a landmark is outside a completion range; outputting, based on the determination that the first distance of the head-mounted device from the landmark is outside the completion range from the landmark, an indication that a repetition has yet to be completed; determining, based on second data received from the depth-sensing device, that a second distance of head-mounted device from the landmark is within the completion range; and based on the determination that the second distance of the head-mounted device from the landmark is within the completion range, incrementing a repetition counter and outputting an indication that the repetition has been completed.
