    摘要: An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving a signal in a communication system are provided. A signal reception apparatus of a communication system receives a signal and generates a child Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codeword vector by decoding the received signal according to a child parity check matrix supporting a first coding rate. The child LDPC codeword vector includes an information vector including A (A≧1) information bits, and when the first coding rate is equal to a coding rate for a case where D (D≧1) parity bits are punctured among B (B≧1)+C (C≧1) parity bits included in a parent LDPC codeword vector generated by encoding the information vector according to a parent parity check matrix supporting a second coding rate, a child bipartite graph corresponding to the child parity check matrix is generated such that a parent bipartite graph corresponding to the parent parity check matrix corresponds to an edge merge scheme.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for transmitting a signal in a communication system using a Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code. A controller determines a number of ‘0’s to be inserted in information data according to a first coding rate to be applied when generating the information data into an LDPC code, and determines the number of ‘0’s to be removed from the LDPC code. A ‘0’ inserter inserts ‘0s’ in the information data according to control of the controller. An LDPC encoder generates the LDPC code by encoding the ‘0’-inserted signal according to a first parity check matrix. A ‘0’ remover removes the inserted ‘0’s from the LDPC code.

    摘要: A signal transmission apparatus in a communication system is disclosed. A channel interleaver generates an interleaved vector by channel-interleaving a Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codeword according to a channel interleaving rule, and a modulator generates a modulation symbol by modulating the interleaved vector according to a modulation scheme. The channel interleaving rule is one of a first channel interleaving rule and a second channel interleaving rule. The first channel interleaving rule is a rule for setting degree distribution for nodes in a factor graph of the LDPC codeword separately for individual levels supported by the modulation scheme. The second channel interleaving rule is a rule for allowing coded bits included in the LDPC codeword to be interleaved according to an unequal error characteristic of the modulation scheme.
