Abstract:
Apparatus in a camera for sensing the brightness of a subject to be photographed and devices for giving a visual indication to the camera operator whether or not a flash unit utilized with the camera is in an operative condition. In addition, apparatus is provided for automatically taking a picture of the subject using the ambient light if there is sufficient ambient light and for energizing the flash unit if there is insufficient ambient light. The apparatus also automatically takes a picture of the subject using ambient light if the flash unit is deflective.
Abstract:
A shutter apparatus having an electrical timing circuit for controlling the open time of the shutter has an adjustable linkage in the shutter drive mechanism. The starting position of the shutter may be varied in order to make the delay time in opening of the shutter equal to the delay time in closing of the shutter.
Abstract:
A timing circuit disconnect apparatus in a camera utilizing a timing circuit for operating the camera shutter and an electrical energy source for supplying electrical energy for the timing circuit, the disconnect apparatus including a switch connected in series between the timing circuit and the electrical energy source, which switch is opened at the termination of the shutter operation, and held open until a film winding mechanism is actuated. The disconnect apparatus includes a locking lever selectively engageable with a movable release arm that is connected to the film winding mechanism, the locking lever being arranged to lock the trigger lever in its actuated mode until the winding means is actuated to move the release arm, which in turn moves the locking lever to unlock the trigger lever and release the trigger lever from its actuated mode.
Abstract:
A camera is equipped with a switching mechanism which connects an electric delay circuit with an electric power source prior to the actuation of a shutter actuating mechanism. The switching mechanism is manually actuated by a trigger lever which is then operatively disconnected from the switching mechanism and the switching mechanism is returned to its initial position in response to closing of the shutter by means of the shutter actuating mechanism.
Abstract:
APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING THE EXPOSURE APERTURE FOR A CAMERA IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FLASH OPERATION THEREOF, THE APPARATUS INCLUDING A MANUALLY OPERATED DEVICE AND A CONTROL LEVEL RESPONSIVE THERETO, A MOVABLE LEVEL RESPONSIVE TO THE FOCUSING MECHANISM AND AN EXPOSURE APERTURE ADJUSTING MEMBER. THE EXPOSURE APERTURE ADJUSTING MEMBER IS MOVED AUTOMATICALLY TO ADJUST THE EXPOSURE APERTURE TO THE PROPER VALUE FOR TAKING A PICTURE UTILIZING ASSOCIATED FLASH EQUIPMENT IN RESPONSE TO THE GUIDE NUMBER SET BY THE GUIDE NUMBER SETTING DEVICE AND THE DISTANCE VALUE SET BY THE FOCUSING MECHANISM.
