    摘要: A computing system includes an array of compute module racks, each compute module rack containing a plurality of compute modules and each compute module being accessible by extracting the compute module rack out of the array of compute module racks. A liquid distribution infrastructure comprising liquid coolant supply lines and return lines is arranged in a first plane adjacent to the array of compute module racks and coupled to each of the vertical racks to provide liquid cooling for the plurality of compute module racks. A power distribution infrastructure comprising power supply lines is arranged in a second plane adjacent to the array of compute module racks and coupled to each of the compute module racks. An optical interconnection infrastructure comprising optical fiber cables is arranged in a third plane adjacent to the array of compute module racks and coupled to each of the compute module racks.

    摘要: Examples relate to a removable transceiver module that comprises a base frame installable in a rail-pair receptacle that surrounds a first connector in a system board. It further comprises a module base board, a second connector attached thereto and a lever handle pivotally attached to the base frame and coupled to the module base board. The transceiver module is installed in the rail-pair receptacle in response to a lateral movement of the base frame to the receptacle to align the first and second connectors. The lever handle is movable between a closed position to couple the second connector to the first connector and an open position to install the transceiver module into the receptacle. This lever handle determines a vertical move of the module base board between the closed position and the open position.

    摘要: An edge-attachable (EA) optical connector includes an optical connector housing for an optical connector. The optical connector housing includes a slot that aligns with a module board edge finger electrical connector, such that the optical connector housing can be slid over a module board edge finger electrical connector and attached to the module board edge. An optical connector on one end of an optical fiber bundle or ribbon fits within the optical connector housing. When the optical connector housing is attached to the module board edge, the optical connector blind mates with a host optical connector supported by a bracket to which a host electrical connector is attached. An optical connector on another end of the optical fiber bundle or ribbon mates with a module board optical connector. The module board optical connector may include an optical socket mounted on an opto-electronic chip disposed on the module board. The EA optical connector can be easily attached to the module board edge such that it fits around the host electrical connector to allow for optical connectivity in addition to electrical connectivity.

The nested co-blindmate high-density optical switch system can include a system enclosure, and an enclosure midplane that is installed the system enclosure. Further, a switch chassis can be enclosed by the system enclosure, and liquid blindmate to a liquid line on a rack; optically blindmate to at least one blade in the system enclosure; and electrically blindmate to the enclosure midplane. At least one optical switch line-card can be included in the system, which is enclosed by the switch chassis, and further enclosed by the system enclosure in a nested manner. The at least one optical switch line-cards can liquid blindmate to the switch chassis, optically blindmate to the switch chassis, and electrically blindmate to the enclosure midplane.
