Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for estimating an amount of print material available in a print material reservoir of a printer. In an example there is disclosed a method comprising determining a first value for an amount of print material contained within a print material container. The method may further comprise determining, after a printhead maintenance event comprising ejecting print material into a spittoon, a second value for the amount of print material contained within the print material container. The method may further comprise estimating, based on a difference between the first value and the second value, an amount of print material remaining in the print material reservoir.

Abstract: Example implementations provide a controller to determine a printing fluid abnormality associated with an ink supply channel of a printer; the controller comprising: an input to receive a signal output by a pressure sensor; the signal being indicative of ink pressure associated with the ink supply channel, and a monitor to determine from a characteristic of the signal the presence of an abnormality in the printing fluid.

Abstract: A method of monitoring a fluid supply is provided, the fluid supply including a supply tank, an intermediate tank and a fluid pump operatively coupled to the supply tank and the intermediate tank; the method comprising with the intermediate tank having a defined first fluid level, starting to feed fluid from the intermediate tank; when a defined amount of fluid has been fed from the intermediate tank, with the feeding of fluid from the intermediate tank proceeding, activating the fluid pump to supply fluid from the supply tank to the intermediate tank; monitoring the fluid level of the intermediate tank while the fluid pump remains activated; and diagnosing operation of the fluid pump as a function of the fluid level of the intermediate tank.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device comprising a controller. The controller to determine a volume of print fluid in a first tank of the electronic device, monitor current printing conditions of the electronic device disposing print fluid on a substrate, determine, based on the volume of print fluid and the current printing conditions, whether an adverse printing condition exists, responsive to the volume of print fluid being less than a threshold and the adverse printing condition not existing, control a pump to refill the first tank from a second tank at a flow rate determined at least partially according to the determined volume, and responsive to the volume of print fluid being less than the threshold and the adverse printing condition existing, control the pump to refill the first tank from the second tank at a default flow rate determined independent of the determined volume.
