Abstract: Example systems relate to wireless head-mounted devices. A wireless head-mounted device may include high-throughput performance miming at millimeter wave band receiving hardware to receive a transmission from corresponding high-powered transmitting hardware included in a computing device. The transmission may include audio, visual, or video data. The wireless head-mounted device may further include a plurality of sensors to collect sensor data. The wireless head-mounted device may further include low-powered transmitting hardware to transmit at least the sensor data collected by the sensors to corresponding low-powered receiving software included in the computing device.

Abstract: In an example, a wireless client station detects a first signal emitted by a first wireless access point and a second signal emitted by a second wireless access point. The wireless client station extracts a first set of data indicative of the signal strength and network congestion of the first wireless access point and a second set of data indicative of the signal strength and network congestion of the second wireless access point. The wireless client station then computes a first performance metric of first wireless access point, based on the first set of data, and a second performance metric of the second wireless access point, based on the second set of data. The wireless client station determines that the first performance metric is greater than the second performance metric and initiates a connection to the first wireless access point in response.

Abstract: Examples associated with networking component repair are described. One example includes detecting an error associated with a networking component of a device. The networking component may be disabled and enabled to attempt to remedy the error associated with the networking component. When the disabling and enabling actions fail to remedy the error and the error is associated with a driver for controlling the networking device, a setting associated with the networking component may be repaired. The networking component may be controlled to connect to a known available network using historical connection settings.

Abstract: In some examples, a non-transitory computer-readable medium stores machine-readable instructions which, when executed by a controller of an electronic device, cause the controller to perform an assistive depth of field analysis. Performing the assistive depth analysis causes the controller to receive images from an image sensor, determine, via artificial intelligence (AI) processing, a depth of field of the images, and generate a signal representing consecutive changes in the depth of field of the images with respect to a first of the images.

Abstract: In some examples, a mobile device can provide radio channel access based on country codes by determining a time zone from an operating system (OS) of the mobile device, determining a country of the mobile device based on the time zone, receiving respective country codes from a plurality of access points (APs) in communication with the mobile device, and enabling access to an alternate radio channel from a default radio channel based on a comparison of the country of the mobile device to respective countries corresponding to the country codes.
