Abstract: Examples of mirroring a screen between two devices include establishing a communication link by a sink device with a source device to mirror a screen of the source device on the sink device. Upon determining a same orientation of the source device for a specific time period, a display OFF command is sent to the source device. The display OFF command is indicative of turning OFF a backlight of the screen of the source device. Further, an event notification may be received by the sink device upon occurrence of an event at the source device. The event includes an incoming communication or a change in the orientation of the source device. In addition, in response to the event notification, a switch command is sent to the source device to pause the signal stream and to turn ON the backlight of the screen of the source device.

Abstract: In an example, a wireless client station detects a first signal emitted by a first wireless access point and a second signal emitted by a second wireless access point. The wireless client station extracts a first set of data indicative of the signal strength and network congestion of the first wireless access point and a second set of data indicative of the signal strength and network congestion of the second wireless access point. The wireless client station then computes a first performance metric of first wireless access point, based on the first set of data, and a second performance metric of the second wireless access point, based on the second set of data. The wireless client station determines that the first performance metric is greater than the second performance metric and initiates a connection to the first wireless access point in response.

Abstract: Examples associated with networking component repair are described. One example includes detecting an error associated with a networking component of a device. The networking component may be disabled and enabled to attempt to remedy the error associated with the networking component. When the disabling and enabling actions fail to remedy the error and the error is associated with a driver for controlling the networking device, a setting associated with the networking component may be repaired. The networking component may be controlled to connect to a known available network using historical connection settings.

The electronic device further includes a communication device to select two of the first antenna, the second antenna, the third antenna, and the fourth antenna based on the first rotational motion sensor, the second rotational motion sensor, and the bend sensor. The communication device is also to transmit and receive data via each of the two selected antennas.

Based on the identified cellular communication frequency band and wireless local area network communication channel, assignment of the wireless local area network communication channel is regulated to inhibit interference due to the concurrent use of the cellular communication frequency band and the wireless local area network communication channel. The regulation of the assignment includes using the wireless station to determine whether to reassign the wireless local area network communication channel.
