An activity phase from a plurality of activity phases for the electronic device is selected based on the usage data. An activity phase has a corresponding timeout period and is defined by an inter-arrival threshold. The electronic device is instructed to enter a low power mode after being inactive for a time period at least as great as the timeout period corresponding to a selected activity phase.

摘要: Pixel blocks of a user-generated print job raster page are clustered into raster color clusters, and pixel blocks of a corresponding scanned page are clustered into scanned color clusters. For each raster color cluster, if a color difference between the cluster and a corresponding scanned color cluster is greater than a threshold, color fading of the cluster is determined from simulated depletion of each colorant of a printing device, and a likely depleted colorant is determined based on the corresponding scanned color cluster and the determined color fading. A most likely depleted colorant is determined from the likely depleted colorant predicted for each raster color cluster for which the determined color difference is greater than the threshold.

摘要: Certain examples described herein relate to the halftoning of a color image. In one example, a set of clusters are determined based on the color image. A set of edges are also detected in the color images. Clusters within these edges are then merged. A set of screens for halftoning are assigned to the set of clusters. This assignment is based on color property metrics for the set of clusters. The color image is halftoned using the set of screens assigned to the merged clusters.

摘要: A method for making a tone consistency calibration timing decision includes measuring, with sensors and in conjunction with a first tone consistency calibration, a first state of a printer. A second state of the printer is also measured. A machine learning calibration module implemented by a computer processor determines if changes between the first state and second state justify a tone consistency calibration. If the changes between the first state and second state justify a second tone consistency calibration, then the second tone consistency calibration is performed.
