Abstract: In one embodiment, a system to enhance in-flight controlled rest for a flight crew includes a pilot user interface, a co-pilot user interface, and a flight crew monitoring system. The flight crew monitoring system is configured to: (i) determine a physiological state of both a pilot and a co-pilot, (ii) selectively generate one or more alerts for the pilot and/or the co-pilot based on the determined physiological state, (iii) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the pilot upon receipt of a first inhibit signal from the pilot user interface, (iv) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the co-pilot upon receipt of a second inhibit signal from the co-pilot user interface, and (v) generate and store data indicating a time of day and a duration that the one or more alerts for the pilot or co-pilot, respectively, were inhibited.

Abstract: An electronic checklist (ECL) system is disclosed. The ECL is configured to: generate an ECL display window, the ECL display window including an checklist information display panel and a checklist item display panel, the checklist information display panel having an annotations area and a virtual pilot area; populate the checklist item display panel with a plurality of checklist items from the ECL, wherein the checklist item display panel is scrollable to display checklist items from the ECL that occur earlier or later than a checklist item that is in focus; automatically populate the annotations area with information relating to a checklist item that is active; and cause the ECL display window to be displayed on the display device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for measuring the capacitive state of an operator. The method includes placing an matrix array of pressure detection sensors in physical contact with the individual. The matrix array is integrated into the seat of the operator and continually measures the operator's presence and movement in the seat based on data received from the matrix array of pressure detection sensors. The breathing, movement and actigraphy patterns of the operator are measured and calculated based on the data received from the matrix array of pressure detection sensors. The breathing, movement and actigraphy patterns of the operator are continually analyzed to determine the capacitive state of the operator.
