Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting a gas concentration using a gas detection device, comprising: determining a first relationship between a baseline drift of the gas detection device with respect to a gas concentration and an environmental temperature and performing, based on the baseline drift of the gas detection device with respect to a gas having a first temperature, a first compensation on a gas concentration output value of the gas having the first temperature determined by the gas detection device. With such a method, a gas concentration check result is more accurate, and the gas detection device can be applied to a wider range of application scenarios.

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a one-piece structure for a solid electrolyte chemical sensor (SECS) having a first surface defining a cavity designed to receive a substrate that retains a solid electrolyte, an internal water impermeable coating on at least a portion of the first surface, a second surface that is substantially coplanar with an adjacent peripheral edge of a top surface of the substrate when the substrate is received in the cavity, and a plurality of electrical contacts disposed on the second surface adapted to electrically couple with the electrodes on the substrate when the substrate is received in the cavity and electrical paths are provided between respective electrical contacts and electrodes. In an illustrative example, the internal water impermeable coating may include a metallic material, such as gold. In various embodiments, the one-piece structure may advantageously prevent water loss from both the sensor substrate and the SECS.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the concentration of a second target gas while in the presence of a first target gas. A method may comprise operating a first sensor (202, 302) under a first operating condition, wherein the first sensor (202, 302) is part of a sensor assembly (200); operating a second sensor (204, 304) under a second operating condition, wherein the second sensor (204, 304) is part of the sensor assembly (200), and wherein the second operating condition is different from the first operating condition; detecting at least one target gas by the first sensor (202, 302); detecting at least one target gas by the second sensor (204, 304); processing a signal output from the first sensor (202, 302) with a signal output from the second sensor (204, 304); and determining a concentration of at least one of the first target gas and second target gas based on the processed output signals.
