Abstract: Coating apparatus is disclosed which has a spray tip characteristic tailored to produce an atomized spray patter which is substantially triangular in cross section. This results in a coat distribution uniform particularly throughout a given width of a substrate. Means are also provided to hold the spray tip wide open for maintenance purposes.
