Abstract: A polarizing lens including a polarizing polyvinyl alcohol film arranged between two pieces of a lens base material, where the polarizing polyvinyl alcohol film includes a hydrophobic region having higher hydrophobicity than other regions at least at a partial region of an outer periphery part including an edge surface thereof and the hydrophobic region is exposed at least at a part of an edge surface of the lens.
