Abstract: An iso(thio)cyanate composition for an optical component has excellent storage stability. The iso(thio)cyanate composition includes an iso(thio)cyanate compound having two or more iso(thio)cyanate groups in a molecule, a phosphoric acid ester compound represented by general formula (1), and a phosphoric acid ester compound represented by general formula (2). A total amount of the phosphoric acid ester compounds is 1 ppm or greater and less than 25,000 ppm, based on the mass of the iso(thio)cyanate compound. A molar ratio of the phosphoric acid ester compound represented by general formula (1) and the phosphoric acid ester compound represented by general formula (2) is 30/70 to 70/30.

Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a polythiol compound, including reacting 2-mercaptoethanol with an epihalohydrin, wherein the reaction is carried out in the presence of a halide selected from the group consisting of a 2,3-dihalogeno-1-propanol and an allyl halide, and an amount of the halide in the reaction is more than 0.50% by mass and 10.00% by mass or less with respect to the total amount of the halide and the epihalohydrin. Abstract: A polymerizable composition which can suppress generation of turbidity, optical distortion, and striae in a transparent resin obtained therefrom, a transparent resin obtained from the polymerizable composition, an optical material containing the transparent resin, a plastic lens containing the optical material, and a method for manufacturing the transparent resin. The present disclosure is a polymerizable composition containing a polythiol compound having at least three mercapto groups and a polyiso(thio)cyanate compound. The polyiso(thio)cyanate compound contains only a polyiso(thio)cyanate compound having no aromatic ring, and a thiol equivalent ratio which is a measured value of a thiol equivalent of the polythiol compound with respect to a theoretical value of the thiol equivalent is 0.900 or more and less than 1.000.

Abstract: A polymerizable composition for optical components, which can prevent striae while keeping strength for optical components when a thick optical component is produced. A polymerizable composition for optical components is a mixture of a first composition including a polyisocyanate compound (A) and a second composition including a polythiol compound (B1) and a thiol group-containing substance (B2), the composition includes the thiol group-containing substance (B2) showing peak at a position at retention time three minutes or more from a peak of the polythiol compound (B1) in a chromatogram obtained by analyzing the composition by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis, and the ratio (A/B1) is 80/100 to 95/100, wherein the equivalent ratio (A/B1) is an equivalent A of the polyisocyanate compound (A) using a weight and group number of the polyisocyanate compound (A) to B1 of the polythiol compound (B1) using a weight and group number of the polythiol compound (B1).

Abstract: To provide a resin composition having a good slightly bluish color tone, a spectacle lens including a base material made of the resin composition, and a method for producing the resin composition.Provided is a resin composition obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable composition including a polyisocyanate compound and a polythiol compound. The polymerizable composition includes a dye L having an absorption maximum wavelength of 550 nm or more and 600 nm or less in a toluene solution of 20 ppm by mass, and a dye S having an absorption maximum wavelength of 500 nm or more and less than 550 nm in a toluene solution of 20 ppm by mass. A mass ratio [(mass of dye L)/(mass of dye S)] of the dye L to the dye S is 5 or more and 500 or less.
