Abstract: This application provides a beam generation method and an apparatus, to help improve precision of estimating a spatial direction of a terminal device. The method includes: A network device determines whether spatial directions of N beams converge to a spatial direction of a terminal device, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 3; and generates a data transmission beam when the spatial directions of the N beams converge to the spatial direction of the terminal device, where the data transmission beam is capable of being aligned with a center of coverage of the N beams, and that the spatial directions of the N beams converge to the spatial direction of the terminal device means that measurement results of the N beams meet a preset condition.

Abstract: A beam weight obtaining method and an apparatus. An aggregation path is generated by using energy of a plurality of paths to help improve quality of a generated beam, thereby improving an SNR and a capacity of a terminal device.
