Abstract: A converged system includes a computing node and a storage node. The computing node is connected to the storage node through a network to build a storage-computing decoupled architecture. A storage medium of the computing node and a storage medium of the storage node form a global memory pool through unified addressing, namely, a global storage medium shared by the computing node and the storage node. When a read/write operation is performed in the system, processing request data is obtained, and a memory operation of the processing request data is performed on the global memory pool based on a memory operation instruction.

Abstract: A scheduler obtains a to-be-processed job; and controls at least one super node based on a resource requirement of the to-be-processed job to process the to-be-processed job based on a global memory pool of the super node, where the to-be-processed job is a processing request related to a distributed application. In this way, because the global memory pool is a resource that is constructed through unified addressing on storage media of nodes in the super node and that is shared by the nodes in the super node, the nodes in the super node that are coupled using a high-speed interconnection technology share and access the global memory pool to process the to-be-processed job.

Abstract: A control device is configured to control a computing device to perform big data distributed processing. The computing device is equipped with storage media in a plurality of deployment modes. Abstract: In a memory expansion method, a first network device generates a memory topology based on memory requirement information of a target application and usage of a memory resource in a first memory pool, wherein the first memory pool is a logical memory comprising memory resources provided by a plurality of network devices, and the memory topology indicates capacities of different types of memory resources in one or more network devices that need to be occupied by the target application. The network device then establishes a second memory pool in the first memory pool based on the memory topology, wherein the second memory pool comprises a memory resource that is allowed to be used by the target application.
