Abstract: This application provides communication methods and apparatuses. One example method includes receiving a first request message from an application function network element. When type information of a service flow in the message indicates that the service flow is an end-to-end service flow, access information of an ingress terminal and access information of an egress terminal is obtained based on information about a target terminal group in the message. Quality of service information of the service flow in the message is decomposed based on the access information of the ingress terminal and the access information of the egress terminal to obtain uplink quality of service information and downlink quality of service information. A network is triggered to configure a session of the ingress terminal based on the uplink quality of service information and to configure a session of the egress terminal based on the downlink quality of service information.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method. An example method includes: An access network device performs congestion detection on a first data flow. The access network device sends a first data packet to a user plane function (UPF) network element based on a congestion detection result, where a tunneling protocol-user plane (GTP-U) header of the first data packet includes congestion information, or the access network device sends a second data packet to user equipment (UE) based on a congestion detection result, where a service data adaptation protocol (SDAP) layer of the second data packet includes congestion information, and the congestion information includes information for adjusting a rate of sending the first data flow.
