The present disclosure provides example congestion measurement method and network node. One example method includes receiving a first delimitation packet by a first network node, where the first delimitation packet includes a first identifier indicating a time at which a second network node sends the first delimitation packet. Statistics associated with a congestion status of the first network node is collected based on the first delimitation packet and by using a first time interval as a length of a cycle, where the second network node sends two neighboring delimitation packets during the first time interval. A first-type statistics packet is sent to the second network node by using the first time interval as the length of the cycle, where the first-type statistics packet includes the first identifier, and the first-type statistics packet indicates the congestion status of the first network node in the first time interval.

This application provides an instruction processing method and a chip. The method includes sending, by the thread unit, a search instruction to the search engine unit. The search instruction includes a data address and a first search field, and the thread unit switches from a RUN state to a WAIT state. The method also includes receiving, by the thread unit, data and a program counter that are sent by the search engine unit. The thread unit switches from the WAIT state to the RUN state.

An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for allocating a public IP address, including: receiving, by a CGN, a user on-line packet, and judging whether an idle public IP address exists; when the public IP address pool doesn't have an idle public IP address, constructing and sending, a DHCP Request packet to a DHCP Server, and requesting obtaining a public IP address set; and allocating, a first public IP address in the public IP address set to the user. Embodiments of the present invention further provide an apparatus and a system for allocating a public IP address. Unified management and allocation of the public IP address of the CGN device can be implemented through the method, the apparatus, and the system provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The utilization ratio of the public IP address of the CGN device can be effectively improved.
