Abstract: The present disclosure relates to positioning methods and communication apparatuses. In an example method, a first location management network element performs first positioning processing on a measured device to obtain first location information. The first location management network element requests a first network element in which a positioning reference device exists to determine one or more first positioning reference devices. The first positioning reference device performs second positioning measurement to obtain second positioning measurement information. The first positioning reference device sends the second positioning measurement information to the first location management network element.
