    Abstract: A communication method includes: a first device obtains a communication rate of a second device and obtains asymmetric rate transmission capability information supported by the second device. The first device determines, based on asymmetric rate transmission capability information supported by the first device, the asymmetric rate transmission capability information supported by the second device, a first communication rate of the first device, and the second communication rate, a first asymmetric rate transmission capability supported by both the first device and the second device. The first device determines passband frequency information corresponding to the first asymmetric rate transmission capability; and selects, from a data transmit link, a high-pass filter and/or a low-pass filter corresponding to the passband frequency information to perform filtering processing, and selects, from a data receive link, a high-pass filter and/or a low-pass filter corresponding to the passband frequency information to perform filtering processing.

    Abstract: This application provides a narrowband interference isolation method and a communication apparatus. An example method includes: determining a parameter of a narrowband interference signal; determining a coefficient of a first filter based on the parameter of the narrowband interference signal, wherein the first filter is located at a receive end of a master communication device, and the coefficient of the first filter is for filtering out the narrowband interference signal; and sending the parameter of the narrowband interference signal or the coefficient of the first filter to M slave communication devices using an Ethernet operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) frame, wherein the master communication device is connected to the M slave communication devices, M≥1, and M is an integer.
