Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose example communication port management methods and example related devices to manage a plurality of communication ports on a communication device connection panel. One example method includes obtaining at least two local images of the communication device connection panel, where each local image corresponds to one local area of the communication device connection panel, and where each of the plurality of communication ports is attached with a port label that identifies each communication port. An overall port information matrix of the communication device connection panel is generated based on the at least two local images, where the overall port information matrix indicates a port identifier of each communication port in the plurality of communication ports and a relative location of each communication port in an overall area of the communication device connection panel. Communication port management is performed based on the overall port information matrix.

Abstract: The optical fiber distribution device includes a distribution area, a plugging apparatus, a storage area and/or a recycling area. The distribution area includes a first port and a second port. An optical path between the first port and the second port is implemented by using a connecting jumper. The plugging apparatus can move between the distribution area and the storage area, and/or between the distribution area and the recycling area. The plugging apparatus can fetch a standby jumper from a jumper storage apparatus in the storage area, and insert the standby jumper into the corresponding first port and second port; and/or the plugging apparatus is configured to: remove the connecting jumper from the corresponding first port and second port, and transport the removed connecting jumper to a jumper recycling apparatus in the recycling area.

Abstract: An optical fiber distribution device includes a distribution portion, a connector retracting portion, and a robot system. The distribution portion comprises an optical fiber adapter, wherein the optical fiber adapter is configured to connect to a first optical fiber connector connected to a first optical fiber. The connector retracting portion is configured to accommodate the first optical fiber connector and the first optical fiber connected to the first optical fiber connector. The robot system is configured to remove a target optical fiber connector from an initial optical fiber adapter, retract the target optical fiber connector and a second optical fiber connected to the target optical fiber connector to the connector retracting portion, and remove the target optical fiber connector from the connector retracting portion and insert the target optical fiber connector into a target optical fiber adapter.
