    Abstract: Provided is a method for extracting and saving text information of an electronic reading device. The method comprises: after an electronic document of an electronic reading device is opened, detecting whether a text is selected or not; if yes, a user interface popping up a menu button for prompting a user to save the selected text; after it is detected that the menu button is selected, extracting the selected text, and saving same in the memory of the electronic reading device in the form of character strings; and according to a file save path, writing the character strings in the memory in corresponding folders.

    Abstract: A method for auto-cleaning up applications in a background of an electronic device system is provided, comprising the steps of: acquiring an occupancy rate of a CPU or a memory, and determining periodically whether the occupancy rate exceeds a preset threshold; querying all applications running in the background of the electronic device system, and identifying all non-system applications if the occupancy rate exceeds the preset threshold; and calling a common interface to close the non-system applications. An electronic device and a storage medium for auto-cleaning up applications in a background are also provided.
