摘要: A method of controlling a mode change in a hybrid vehicle for performing a driving-mode change related to a change in the amount of charge of a battery in consideration of catalyst warmup of an engine includes activating adaptive mode change control between a first mode and a second mode, determining whether or not catalyst heating or engine warmup is performed in advance, setting a mode change reference depending on a result of the determining, and performing the adaptive mode change control depending on the set mode change reference.

摘要: A driving control method of a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) includes: determining whether an exhaust gas restricted area is present one a driving route; determining whether the HEV is possible to drive through the entire exhaust gas restricted area under a first-mode of driving in which only an electric motor of the HEV drives the HEV when the exhaust gas restricted area is present; calculating a charging route when the HEV is not possible to travel through the entire gas restricted area under the first-mode of driving; determining a possibility of traveling through the entire gas restricted area under the first-mode of driving before entering the calculated charging route; and calculating a bypass route based on determination that traveling the entire exhaust gas restricted area under the first-mode of driving is not possible.

The method comprises calculating, for a low-emission area on the vehicle's current travel, a first energy to travel the low-emission area in a first driving mode, determining whether the hybrid vehicle is capable of traveling the low-emission area in the first driving mode using current energy of a vehicle battery, and when it is determined that the hybrid vehicle is incapable of traveling the low-emission area in the first driving mode using current energy of the vehicle batter, initiating a battery charging operation before the vehicle enters the emission-restricted area.
