Abstract: A washing machine appliance may include a tub, a basket, an impeller base, and an extended post. The basket may be rotatably positioned within the tub. The impeller base may include a mounting face including a threaded bracket defining a mounting thread extending about a rotation axis. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base to rotate therewith. The extended post may include a base body extending along the rotation axis between a bottom end proximal to the impeller base and a top end distal to the impeller base. The extended post may also include auger fin extending radially from the base body between the bottom end and the top end. The mating face may be disposed on the bottom end. The mating face may define a mating thread matched to the mounting thread to rotatably enmesh therewith.

Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet, a tub, and a control panel for accepting inputs directing functionality of the laundry appliance. When movement of the laundry appliance is necessary, such as upon initial delivery, laundry appliance includes one or more shipping attachment assemblies comprising a shipping bolt and shipping bolt spacer, which connect to attachment elements of the tub and serve to stabilize the tub while laundry appliance is moved. The laundry appliance further includes identifiers for each shipping attachment assembly. The identifiers are only visible upon removal of the shipping attachment assembly. When moving of the laundry appliance is complete, the shipping attachment assemblies are removed, revealing the identifiers. The identifiers are provided through a network to ensure removal of the shipping attachment assemblies. Once all identifiers are accounted for, a sequence of inputs is provided that, when properly entered using the control panel of the laundry appliance, enables operation of the laundry appliance.

Abstract: A dryer appliance includes a cabinet with drum defining a drying chamber rotatably mounted therein. Air passing through the drying chamber exhausts through a lint trap duct, where a screen filter in situated for removing lint and debris collected in the drying chamber from the passing air. A lint collector having a first opening is aligned with the screen filter. A lint scratcher is situated within and in contact with the screen filter. The lint scratcher is movable along the screen filter, scraping away lint caught on the filter. The lint scratcher moves in the direction of the lint collector until the collected lint is pushed into the lint collector for later disposal.
