Abstract: Disclosed is corpus-retrieval language education system having a question/answer function. The system includes an information provider unit for dividing dialogue data and sentence data into text data, audio data and video data, storing each divided data as corpus data in a language data storing section, extracting language data corresponding to question text data inputted by a user from the language data storing section and outputting the extracted data in predetermined order of education through a network, and a subscriber unit for sending question text data to the information provider unit through the network and outputting the language data received from the information provider unit through a Web browser or a speaker. When the user inputs question text data requesting dialogues or sentences in a foreign language which are useful to communicate with native speakers, the information provider unit promptly extracts the required language data (including text data, audio data and vide data) as an answer to the user's question data. The language data can be stored in a separate storage device so that the user can form a language learning resource that will best fit his or her needs and ability.
