    摘要： An operator safety device includes a plurality of covers for covering parts of a machine to protect an operator against contact with these parts when the machine is in operation. At least some of the covers are movable between a closed position where the covers do not cover these parts and the latter are readily accessible and constitute a danger of accidents. A switch is operable for shutting down the machine when at least one of the covers moves from the closed into the open position. A linkage connects the covers with the switch for actuating the latter whenever at least one of the covers moves from the closed into the open position.

    摘要： The liquid-distributing roller assembly for printing machines is composed of two opposite pairs of guiding tracks secured to the machine walls. One track supports for rectilinear movement a two-stage transmission gear unit in which one end of the shaft is supported for rotation; the other end of the shaft is supported for rotation and for a rectilinear movement in the opposite track. The shaft supports for rotation and for an axial displacement a liquid distributing roller which at one end is connected to a first spur gear rotatable on one end of the shaft and being in permanent engagement with an elongated transmission gear. The latter is also in permanent engagement with a second spur gear which is connected for joint rotation to the shaft. The other end of the shaft supports a cam which engages a cam follower connected to the distributing roller so that as soon as the latter is rotated an axial reciprocating movement is generated by the cam mechanism.

    摘要： A device for adjusting an ink knife relative to a ductor roller in an ink-applicator of a printing machine is disclosed. The device includes an number of adjusting arrangements arranged lengthwise of the ductor roller to control a plurality of ink zones along the length of the roller, each arrangement including a pivotable lever actuated to move a stripped edge of the ink knife to and from the ductor roller, and a tension spring extended somewhat normally to the ink knife and between the ink knife and a supporting element rigidly connected to the housing of the ink applicator, the tension spring locking the lever in its selected adjusted position. The device substantially reduces mutual influence of adjacent ink zones on each other during the adjusting operation.

One or more ink-control screws can press against the doctor blade to locally reduce the width of the gap. Each screw carries an abutment arrangement which is engageable with respective opposite sides of the machine's ink trough, depending upon the direction of rotation of the screw, so as to define two specific end positions for the screw and thus a maximum and a minimum width of the ink gap.

    摘要： A connector includes two housings, a chamber block, and a seal. Passages arranged in a configuration extend through first housing top wall into first housing. Chamber block has chambers arranged in the configuration. Seal has openings arranged in the configuration and attaches to chamber block such that openings align with chambers. First housing houses chamber block and seal such that first housing top wall and chamber block sandwich seal and passages, openings, and chambers align. Second housing has plugs arranged in the configuration. Housings attach together such that first housing side wall and seal sandwich second housing side wall whereby seal seals housings and such that plugs extend into respective sockets in chambers. Electrical leads extend through the aligned passages, openings, and chambers and contact sockets to electrical connect with plugs. The seal simultaneously seals first housing in a region in which leads enter first housing and seals between housings.
