    摘要： A plasma display apparatus may be provided that reduces a noise generating in a waveform applied to a scan electrode or a sustain electrode and that stabilizes address discharge by improving applying time point of a waveform applied in an address period, so that driving stability of a panel may increase. The plasma display apparatus may include a plasma display panel in which a plurality of scan electrodes and a plurality of address electrodes intersecting the scan electrodes are formed, and a data driver dividing the address electrode into a plurality of electrode groups, corresponding to a scan waveform applied to the scan electrode, and the data driver applying an address waveform to one address electrode group, and the address waveform having an applying time point that is different from an applying time point of the scan waveform.

The plasma display apparatus comprises: a plasma display panel comprising a plurality of scan electrodes, sustain electrodes, and address electrodes intersecting with the scan electrodes; a scan driver for applying a negative waveform and a reset waveform subsequent to the negative waveform to the scan electrode, and applying a scan waveform subsequent to the reset waveform to the scan electrode; a sustain driver for applying a positive waveform corresponding to the negative waveform to the sustain electrode; and a data driver for applying an address waveform to the address electrode, wherein a scan waveform is applied to one scan electrode and applying time points among at least two address waveforms applied to the address electrode corresponding to the scan waveform are different from each other, wherein, when the temperature of the plasma display panel is more than a threshold temperature, an idle period from an applying time point of a last sustain waveform applied to the scan electrode or the sustain electrode to an applying time point of a predetermined waveform gets different.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus, and more particularly to a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof, which are capable of preventing an afterimage-generating wrong discharge when a plasma display panel is driven. Provided is a plasma display apparatus, including: a plasma display panel on which a plurality of sustain electrode pairs, each including a scan electrode and a sustain electrode, are formed; a driver driving each sustain electrode pair; and a driving pulse controller which controls the driver to sequentially apply a first falling waveform and a second falling waveform to the scan electrode and to apply a positive waveform to the sustain electrode while applying the first falling waveform, in a reset period. In accordance with the present invention, it is possible to prevent afterimage-generating woring discharge by improving the structure of a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof. In accordance with the present invention, it is possbiel to prevent spots from being created on a displayed single color pattern by improving the structure of a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof.
