The mirror arrangement comprises a mirror foot adapted for permanent attachment to an associated commercial vehicle and a mirror head attached to the mirror foot. The mirror head comprises a housing, a mirror pane carried by the housing for providing a view of the area behind the mirror arrangement, and a connector disposed between the mirror foot and the mirror head for connecting the mirror foot to the mirror head. The mirror foot comprises a support arm disposed between the connector and an associated vehicle for providing support to the mirror arrangement. The mirror foot also comprises a mounting bracket adapted for permanent attachment to an associated vehicle.

Both communication units on a coupled tractor-trailer are located facing each other across a hitching space between the tractor and trailer to define a communication gap over which data is wirelessly transmitted. A notification device is carried by the tractor and operatively connected to the second communication unit. At least one data collector is carried by the trailer and operatively connected to the first communication unit. Accordingly, the driver is provided with information through the notification device from the data collector by way of the first and second communication unit, which wirelessly transmit the data between the tractor and trailer.

By changing mounting procedure on the two identical carrier plates, one carrier plate may be used for both the right and left mirrors, thereby reducing the number of components. 摘要： A clamping support for fastening a rearview mirror onto a vehicle is disclosed. The clamping support comprises a clamp reception fixture for attachment to the vehicle, an insertable component including a mirror end and a vehicle end, wherein the mirror end is connectable to the rearview mirror and the vehicle end is insertable in a first direction into the reception fixture, and a clamp wedge disposed within the insertable component and slidable in a second clamping direction perpendicular to the first direction. Movement of the clamp wedge in the clamping direction within the insertable component urges the clamp reception fixture and the insertable component into frictional engagement to thereby secure the rearview mirror to the vehicle. A related rear view mirror assembly is also disclosed.

摘要： A fastening member for securing a rearview mirror housing to a vehicle and a related rearview mirror assembly are disclosed. The housing has a mirror carrier plate secured therein and defining an opening extending through the housing, the mirror carrier plate including at least one fastening connector disposed adjacent the opening. The fastening member includes a first support arm having a first end and a second end, the first end of the first support arm for securing to the vehicle, a second support arm having a first end and a second end, the first end of the second support arm for securing to the vehicle, the second support arm extending substantially parallel to the first support arm, and a connecting piece extending substantially perpendicular to the first and second support arms and formed integrally with the first and second support arms. The connecting piece includes at least one fastening connector disposed thereon for connection to the at least one fastening connector disposed on the mirror carrier plate to secure the housing to the fastening member and thereby to the vehicle. The fastening member may be formed of plastic, and the connecting piece may extend perpendicularly beyond at least one of the support arms.
