摘要： A recording arrangement receives reception information including program, picture and/or sound information in a receiving channel of a television program. A detector detects the received program information which characterizes the start and end times of the television programs. A recorder is adapted to record the picture and/or sound information on a record carrier from a recording start time till a recording end time. A recording controller which, when a user of the recording arrangement has defined the recording start time and the receiving channel for a recording, is adapted to propose the end determined by the detector as the recording end time for the recording of the television program that can be received in the receiving channel.

摘要： A reproducing arrangement for reproducing scenes of a stored film in an overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement, has random access memory means for the storage of audio/video data (AVD) of a film which is reproducible at a normal reproducing speed during a film reproduction time (TW1, TW2), and mode means which enable the overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement to be activated, at least two scenes of the stored film being reproduced in succession at the normal or an increased reproducing speed by the reproducing arrangement in the overview reproducing mode, and a skip scene recorded between two scenes and reproducible at the normal reproducing speed during a skip reproduction time interval not being reproduced in the overview reproducing mode.

摘要： A reproducing arrangement (1; 14) is adapted to reproduce compressed data (KD) included in data blocks (DB) of a data stream (DS) in a normal speed reproducing mode and in a multi-speed reproducing mode. The compressed data (KD) included in each data block (DB) are decompressible independently of one another and the sequence of the encoded data blocks (KB) in the data stream (DS) corresponds to the sequence of reproduction of the decoded data (KD) in the normal speed reproducing mode. In the multispeed reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement (1;14) encoded data (KD) are read from only a part of the data blocks (DB) of the data stream (DS) and supplied to decoding means (7) of the reproducing arrangement (1;14), whose computing capacity is therefore also adequate for the multi-speed reproducing mode.
