摘要:
A printing press having an impression cylinder with a bearing at each end an image carrier cylinder and a frame in which both cylinders are positioned. A device is provided for moving the impression cylinder between an engaged printing position cooperating with the image carrier cylinder and a disengaged position and also for producing a larger motion of the impression cylinder for the purpose of replacing the image carrier cylinder. A lead screw is provided for each bearing for lifting and lowering the bearing of the impression cylinder and a thrust piston and cylinder unit for acting on each bearing for urging the impression cylinder towards the image carrier cylinder. A nut engages each lead screw, each nut having a tubular section with a constant external diameter, and a pinion is mounted on each tubular section, and having a hub supported for pinion rotation in a fixed position relative to the frame. The pinion is rotatively locked to the tubular section for rotation and for sliding to a limited extent for maintaining the pinion in mesh with gearing for rotatively driving the pinion during the large motion. Each bearing is compensated by balance the weight of the bearing of parts connected with the bearing and of the impression cylinder.

A doctor blade, secured in a pivoting doctor blade holder, of a doctor blade device is able to be engaged with a roll accepting ink, such as the gravure image carrier cylinder of gravure press, at an adjustable angle. In order to reliably and rapidly reset the angle of engagement, the line of engagement and also the engagement thrust of the doctor blade on the fold, and in addition to perform such adjustment even while the press is running, the doctor blade holder is pivotally mounted in elongate, which itself is pivotally mounted at its opposite ends on carrying members, the carrying members are mounted for linear adjustment in unison in the machine frame. The doctor blade holder and the elongate frame are provided with pivotal drive assemblies and the carrying members are provided with linear drives, which an all be operated from a central control device.

A printing press comprising at least one printing stand, in which an impression cylinder, two printing cylinders, which are movable into engagement with the impression cylinder, and inking rollers associated with said plate cylinders, are rotatably mounted, and a main drive, which is operatively connected to the impression cylinder, wherein the impression cylinder, the plate cylinders and the inking rollers comprise stub shafts, to which gears are secured, which are adapted to be in mesh for synchronous rotation during a printing operation. In order to accomplish the object to provide such a printing press in which a loss of production in case of a change-over from one printing job to another can almost entirely be avoided the invention resides in that each plate cylinder is operatively connected to the main drive for the associated impression cylinder by a clutch for uncoupling the plate cylinder from said main drive and is operatively connected to a controllable servomotor for accelerating the plate cylinder to rotate at the same peripheral velocity as the impression cylinder (synchronous velocity), and each plate cylinder when it has been accelerated to the synchronous velocity is adapted to be coupled to the main drive for the impression cylinder.

A printing machine, such as a flexographic printing machine has a plurality of inking units and a plurality of plate cylinders. A central gear drives an impression cylinder and during a printing operation meshes with plate cylinder gears. The plate cylinders are mounted on plate cylinder carriages on tracks included in the machine frame and which are movable towards the impression cylinder for a printing operation. Halftone ink roller gears are associated with halftone rollers of the inking units and mesh with the plate cylinder gears. The halftone rollers are movable on inking unit carriages on tracks on the plate cylinder carriages. The teeth of the central gear are to be aligned with the teeth of the plate cylinder gears when the latter teeth are moved to pushed-in positions. The plate cylinder gears are provided with datum marks with which sensors fixed to the inking carriage cooperate so that the plate cylinders can be aligned for printing in register. To ensure that an adjustment for printing in register can be effected with high accuracy, without errors and without a need for manual work, each plate cylinder gear is equipped with a servomotor which rotates the plate cylinder gear to a position in which the respective sensor detects the respective datum mark.
