An apparatus operable with a system which includes a body-side device and wheel-side devices and in which vehicle-state data such as wheel-state data representative of wheel states are transmitted by radio communication from the wheel-side devices to the body-side device, together with wheel identification data identifying the wheels. The apparatus includes antennas attached to each wheel inspecting device which is arranged to rotate the corresponding so that the antennas are sequentially aligned with the wheel-side device, and transmit trigger signals in response to which the wheel identification data are transmitted from the wheel-side device to the body-side device and registered in the body-side device. The apparatus assists the system so as to automate the registration of the wheel identification data, thereby eliminating a manual operation to bring a trigger device to the positions of the wheels to command the wheel-side devices to transmit the wheel identification data.

A detection/communication apparatus to be installed on a vehicle having a plurality of tires. The apparatus includes: (a) tire state detectors which are provided on the respective tires and each of which detects a state of a corresponding one of the tires; (b) local transceivers which are provided on the respective tires and which transmit tire data sets relating to the respective tires; (c) a central receiver which is provided on a vehicle body and which receives the tire data sets transmitted by the local transceivers; (d) a particular-signal transmitter which is provided on the vehicle body and which transmits a particular signal; and (e) data-transmission modifiers which are provided on the respective tires. Each of the data-transmission modifiers is operable depending upon a state of reception of the particular signal by a corresponding one of the local transceivers, to modify transmission of a corresponding one of the tire data sets by the corresponding one of the local transceivers.

Complicated adjustment, such as adjusting hue and saturation by varying value for each hue in which hue correction and saturation correction are performed on only an input having a specific value of a specific color component, is performed. In a color space including hue Hi, saturation Si, and value Vi, calculating a hue correction value HVh and a saturation correction value HVs by using the hue Hi and the value Vi as parameters allows the hue correction and the saturation correction to be performed based on the value and completely independently for hue axes of the hue. The correction value calculating circuit scale has no influence on the complexity of the correction. It is possible to calculate the correction values by a certain circuit scale no matter how complicated the correction is.

Color correction according to the present disclosure performs correction by adding a predetermined correction value to an input value of a component to be corrected, which is one of a plurality of components for representing a color with a predetermined color space, and outputs a corrected value. The color correction includes calculating an unadjusted correction value based on the input value; and adjusting the unadjusted correction value calculated in the calculating the unadjusted correction value so that the corrected value does not decrease with an increase in the input value, and outputting the adjusted value as the predetermined correction value.
