Abstract: A fuel vapor processing system includes a canister, a tank passage communicating between the canister and the fuel tank, and a purge passage communicating between the canister and the intake air passage. Fuel vapor adsorbed by the canister can be desorbed and purged into the intake air passage via the purge passage due to a negative pressure produced in the intake air passage. A desorption promoting device can promote desorption of fuel vapor from the canister. A control unit controls the desorption device, so that the desorption promoting device promotes desorption of fuel vapor from the canister during desorption through the purge passage due to the negative pressure.

Abstract: A fuel vapor control device include a fuel tank for storing fuel, a canister for adsorbing fuel vapor produced in the fuel tank, and an evaporation path communicating between the fuel tank and the canister. The tank has a resiliently deformable wall portion that can resiliently deform in response to an amount of the fuel vapor in the fuel tank, so that volume of the fuel tank can be varied. A pressure regulating valve can perform a relief function for opening the evaporation path during the expansion of volume of the fuel tank to a set volume. The pressure regulating valve closes the evaporation path if pressure inside the fuel tank is lower than the set value. On the other hand, the pressure regulating valve opens the evaporation path if the pressure inside the fuel tank is equal to or higher than the set value.

Abstract: An evaporated fuel treating device includes a chamber, closest to an atmospheric port, divided into first, second, and third compartments by a partition member having a peripheral wall and a separating wall. The first compartment has an adsorbent layer and one end in communication with the third compartment and another end in communication with a tank port. The second compartment communicates with the first compartment through a first communication portion formed at one end of the peripheral wall. One end of the second compartment communicates with the third compartment through a second communication portion provided in the separating wall, while the other end thereof is closed. The airflow resistance of a second filter covering one end of the peripheral wall and one end of the separating wall is higher than the airflow resistance of a first filter covering one end of the adsorbent layer.

Abstract: An adsorbent canister includes a casing defining a first adsorption chamber, a second adsorption chamber and a diffusion chamber therein, and an adsorbent capable of adsorbing the fuel vapor and filled in the first adsorption chamber and the second adsorption chamber.
