摘要： An image processing device processes jobs to be executed by an image forming device incorporating a fixing unit. The image processing device receives a plurality of jobs. Based on an attribute of each of the plurality of jobs, the image processing device determines, out of the plurality of jobs, at least one job for which fixing can be performed after heating of the fixing unit is stopped and for which fixing is performed after fixing for another job is finished. The image processing device reorders the processing of the plurality of jobs so that fixing is performed for the at least one job after the fixing for the other job is finished. In this way, an image processing device and a method of controlling an image processing device can be provided where power consumption can be reduced.

The image formation apparatus includes: a power source for outputting a voltage to a first load and a second load, the first load being provided in the image formation apparatus and being involved in image formation, the second load being provided in the post processing apparatus and being involved in the post process; a power source controller for increasing the output voltage of the power source during an operation of the second load; and a load controller for controlling an operation of the first load such that an output of the first load falls within a predetermined range during the operation of the second load.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device having a heater, a signal generator for generating a prescribed cyclic signal in conformity with a waveform of an AC power supply applied to the heater, and a controller for controlling power feed to the heater. The controller determines whether a cycle of the prescribed cyclic signal becomes shorter than a prescribed period or not. When the controller has determined that the cycle has become shorter than the prescribed period, the controller controls power feed to the heater under phase control and when the controller has determined that the cycle has not become shorter than the prescribed period, the controller controls power feed to the heater under zero crossing control.

The CPU 61 performs the temperature adjustment control 1 by executing the temperature adjustment program 64b (step S109), then executes the paper passing judgment program 64a to judge whether or not paper is passing (step S110). As far as it judges that no paper is passing (NO in step S110), the CPU 61 continues to perform the temperature adjustment control 1 by executing the temperature adjustment program 64b. When it judges that paper is passing (YES in step S110), the CPU 61 performs the temperature adjustment control (step S112).

摘要： An image forming apparatus calculates a positional deviation in the main and sub-scanning directions for each color by forming registration patterns in two arrays along a sub-scanning direction on an image carrier. Each registration pattern in one array is paired with an identical registration pattern in the other array. A first sensor has: a light-emitting element irradiating one registration pattern in a pair; a photodetector for regular reflection light; and a photodetector for diffuse reflection light. A second sensor has: a light-emitting element irradiating the other one in the pair; and a photodetector for regular reflection light. The relative positions of a pair of registration patters calculated using the respective sensors are corrected so as to reduce the positional deviation between the calculated positions by the amount of offset deviation estimated occur between positions detected by the respective sensors when the registration patterns are without positional deviation.
