Abstract: Provided is a management system arranged to manage a plurality of network elements in a network. The management system specifies, when the management system receives an alarm event, a logical path corresponding to the received alarm event based on the logical path specifying information included in the received alarm event. The management system refers to the logical path management information and specifies an alarm spread logical path of the specified logical path. The management system correlate the received alarm event and the specified logical path, correlate the received alarm event and the specified alarm spread logical path, and register the correlations with the alarm spread logical path information.
