Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for processing excess event messages using a mobile application, comprising rendering, via the mobile application, a first view displaying first state information of a control panel configured to receive event information from one or more sensors in a physical location. The implementations further include controlling, data flow of a plurality of event messages generated by the control panel. Additionally, the implementations further include selecting one or more event messages of the plurality of event messages from the processing queue based on a dispatch timer and a dispatch threshold. Additionally, the implementations further include generating a second view based on processing of the one or more event messages and blocking processing of the processing queue. Additionally, the implementations further include rendering the second view displaying second state information of the control panel.

Abstract: A method for cloud-native centralized fault monitoring in a telecommunication network, the method performed by a processor and comprising receiving one or more raw fault messages associated with one or more respective network devices, wherein the one or more raw fault messages are received using one or more network protocols associated with the one or more respective network devices; identifying fault information from the one or more raw fault messages; enriching the fault information based on continuously processing the fault information and additional contextual information; and storing the enriched fault information in a plurality of databases, wherein a first subset of the enriched fault information is stored in a first database and a second subset of the enriched fault information is stored in a second database.

Abstract: In a computer network monitored for security threats, security incidents corresponding to groups of mutually related security alerts may be ranked based on values of a diversity metric computed for each incident from attribute values of an attribute, or multiple attributes, associated with the security alerts. In some embodiments, values of attribute-specific sub-metrics are determined for each incident and combined, e.g., upon conversion to p-values, into respective values of the overall diversity metric. Based on the ranking, an output may be generated. For example, a ranked list of the security incidents (or a subset thereof) may be communicated to a security administrator, and/or may trigger an automated mitigating action.

Physical layer issue detection based on client-side behavior assessments

Abstract: The network management system (NMS) assesses behavior data such as Ethernet error, speed flapping, cold restart, and/or cloud disconnect collected from a respective one of access points (APs) or other wired client-side devices at an edge of a wired network, and determines whether features of the behavior data are indicative of a bad cable issue at a particular port of a particular network device of the wired network to which the respective AP is connected via a cable. The particular network device may be a third-party network device from which the NMS does not receive behavior data. In the case of a bad cable issue being detected, the NMS outputs a bad cable notification including identification information of the particular port and the particular network device. The NMS enables client-side only, behavior-based bad cable detection at network devices that avoids network traffic disruptions caused by conventional cable tests.

Abstract: Techniques for coordinating the monitoring of output devices. In one technique, one or more messages are received, at a mediation service, over a computer network from a cloud-based management server. The one or more messages include an identity of an output device, an identity of an active mediation service for the output device, and an identity of each failover mediation service in one or more failover mediation services for the output device. Based on the one of the messages, the mediation service determines that it is a failover mediation service. Later, it is determined whether the mediation service is to be a new active mediation service for the output device. In response to an affirmative determination, the mediation service transmits, to the cloud-based management server, a notification that indicates that the mediation service is the new active mediation service. The mediation service also initiates monitoring of the output device.
