摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a main body of the image forming apparatus; a developing cartridge that is detachably disposed in the main body and includes an image carrier; a charging roller that is disposed to face the image carrier in the developing cartridge and charges a surface of the image carrier; a charging roller separating unit that moves the charging roller between a first position in which the charging roller is in contact with the image carrier and a second position in which the charging roller is spaced apart from the image carrier; and a paper feeding cassette detachably disposed in the main body; wherein when the paper feeding cassette is first mounted, the charging roller is fixed in the second position by the charging roller separating unit.

摘要： A developer regulating apparatus and a developing unit and image forming apparatus having the same. The developing unit includes a developing cartridge to accommodate a developer, a developing member disposed in the developing cartridge to face a photoconductor, and a developer regulating apparatus to regulate the developer of the developer member. The developer regulating apparatus includes a charging member to come in surface contact with the developing member and thus to charge the developer with electricity, a pressing member disposed to be pressed toward the developing member and to interpose the charging member therebetween, and a maintaining member to adjust and maintain a contact area between the charging member and the developing member.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a structure which can prevent a toner from scattering. The image forming apparatus includes a collecting fan and a blocking device to collect a toner which scatters when a photosensitive body and a developing roller rotate. Air current and air curtain generated by the collecting fan and the blocking device suppress the toner from scattering. Accordingly, malfunction or print failure of the apparatus due to contamination can be prevented and the print speed of image forming apparatus can be increased.

摘要： A developing cartridge and a developing device capable of preventing developer leak which may occur during replacement of a developer containing unit, and an image forming apparatus having the same are provided. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming apparatus body where a transfer path for a printing medium is formed, and a developing device for developing a visible image. The developing device may include, for example, developing cartridge, a developer containing unit, which contains a supply of developer therein, and which is detachably disposed in the developing cartridge to form a developer transfer path fluidly communicating with the developing cartridge, and a shutter unit which closes the developer transfer path when the developer containing unit is removed from the developing cartridge.
